Learn about the local history and explore the pioneer cabin at the Chase & District Museum & Archives Society. The society is a dedicated non-profit group whose mandate since 1984 is to “Preserve and Present” both the cultural and natural history of our district. Very significant to our district are three First Nations Bands. Neskonlith Indian Band on the south shore of the South Thompson River, the Adams Lake Indian Band on the north shore of the South Thompson River and lastly, the Little Shuswap Lake Indian Band on the northern side of the Little Shuswap Lake.
The Museum itself is located within the original Catholic Church that was built in Chase in the early 20th century. On its grounds, the museum also has a heritage homestead cabin and garage. Inside, there’s a 1923 Franklin Touring Sedan, a historical grader, and a fire hose reel cart.
