Fundraising Gala – Bones of Crows

In recognition of the third annual National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we are honoured to have the opportunity to present the critically acclaimed Canadian film Bones of Crows at the Salmar Classic Theater on Friday, September 29th.

Bones of Crows is a multi-generational epic drama grounded in historical truth. This film “weaves together underrepresented moments in Canadian and Indigenous history, including the Indigenous contributions to WW2, the ongoing cases of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada. Aline’s story enriches our understanding of the past and empowers us to address our collective future.” (bonesofcrows.com).

Our hope is that our excitement for being able to bring this film to Salmon Arm is shared by our friends, families and neighbors. Our guests of the Gala will also be treated to Indigenous inspired appetizers, mocktails and Indigenous Drumming, there will be a silent auction for anyone interested, as well as the opportunity to make a donation directly to Rise Up.
